UCF is preparing a booming summer program to entice students to stay for summer classes as well as provide financial boom to encourage students to stay on campus for the summer months until the fall. Guest lectures from various Professors will be offered free of charge to students and visitors (though visitors will need to pay a parking fee), outdoor movie nights and frisbee golf leagues are being formed and student groups who hold meetings and events over the summer are having campus room use fees waived. UCF President John Hitt says “these new bold steps to encourage and reach out to our student body, to encourage their social lives as well as their academic, will surely put our school on the map.”
